Norma Villagomez-Marquez Interviewed for Stormwater Solutions
Our very own Norma Villagomez-Marquez was interviewed by Stormwater Solutions regarding PFAS in rain. You may remember collecting samples in the small tubes in Year 3 of Project Harvest to test for PFAS! PFAS stands for per- and polyfluoralkyl substances, and are used in many industries, like cookware and stain repellents. These chemicals stopped being used in the US in the early 2000s, but persist in the environment. A study showed PFAS in rainwater across the midwest. Take a look at the story and see what Norma has to say about upcoming EPA reports on PFAS!
